Technology Agency of the Czech Republic
(TA CR)
- The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic in the KAPPA program requires fulfilment of the Open Access condition.
- Beneficiaries in the KAPPA Program are obliged to ensure open access to all results of the type "J" project - "peer-reviewed professional article" - i.e. free online access for any user to all peer-reviewed scientific publications and all supporting data related to such publications (the so-called "underlying data" and metadata).
"The fulfilment of this condition is considered to be the fulfilment of both of the following steps:
1. Saving the result in the repository - the recipient must save it no later than on the day the article is published machine-readable final peer-reviewed version of the article (i.e. postprint or publisher version) in one of the open repositories.
The result must be stored in the repository even if the recipient chooses the golden path of open access in step.
2. Ensuring open access to the result - the recipient must ensure open access to the article access, choosing one of the following methods:
2.1. No later than 6 months (12 months in the case of articles regarding social and humanities) will make the full text available in an open repository after publication (the so-called green path of open access).
2.2. Immediately through the publication of an article in one of the open journals (the so-called golden path of open access). Possible publication costs associated with publication in open journals are eligible costs of the Program after the project's duration.
Beneficiaries can find a suitable open repository for ensuring step 1 and step 2.1 in the international database OpenDOAR6, or they can use the European multidisciplinary repository - Zenodo.org. A suitable open journal to ensure step 2.2 can be found in the citation registers Web of Science or Scopus or in the international database Directory of Open Access Journals - DOAJ7"
