Try citizen science for yourself
A series of citizen science workshops at Masaryk University will show that almost anyone can contribute to real research — and sometimes all you need is a smartphone.
How can you manage, secure and share your research data more effectively? This hands-on training for researchers and PhD students introduces useful tools and practices for everyday work with research data.
The opening session will be given by speakers from the Université de Rennes, who will join online to present the French experience with the secondary publishing right. This talk will be held in English.
The remaining sessions will cover how to work safely with sensitive data in SensitiveCloud, how to version data in Git and DataLad, and how to back it up with Restic. The practical side will then be covered by talks on data management at the MAFIL laboratory and on the Onedata system.
The training takes place on 23 November 2026 from 9:30 to 14:30 at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, room D51. Registration opens at 9:00.
Apart from the opening talk, the sessions will be held in Czech.
